Ed’s Best Venison Chili is our go-to recipe for a great all around venison chili. Feel free to share your thoughts or any modifications you have made to this recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground deer (venison)
- 2 cans light red kidney beans
- 2 cans rotel (chili fixin's)
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 large white onion (chopped)
- 4 garlic cloves (chopped)
- 1/3 cup coca-cola
- 1/4 cup chili powder
Brown the ground venison meat in a large skillet over medium heat. (Stir until fully crumbled) Add the chopped onions and garlic to meat. Sauté until slightly soft and translucent. Transfer the venison, onions, and garlic to your stock pot (we used our Le Creuset Dutch Oven) along with all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer and cover, stir occasionally. Serve with the toppings of your choice!Method
